Hello! My name is Emilia Landreth. I started dancing at the age of two. I joined a competition team at The Academy School of Dance and Gymnastics when I was 7 years old. I achieved several awards and scholarships through out my 9 years of competing. I have been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hiphop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, musical theater, and ballroom. During my high-school years I assisted as well as taught classes at the dance studio. During my freshman year at Murray State University, I was apart of the Racer Girls; the Murray State Dance Team. Dance has made such a positive impact on my life and I am so incredibly grateful to have the position to share my love of dance to so many students.

About Us

Dianna Patton
Co-owner, Instructor, Founder

Dianna Patton (the founder of Star Dancer Studio) has danced from age 2 through present and performed professionally on Television at age 4. She started performing in the Sacramento Music Circus at age 9 and went through High School with that company. Dianna started teaching dance at age 12, and is still teaching multiple hours a week!

She started her professional dance company “Sizzling Hot” in 1980, and they danced for the Department of Defense, TV appearances on Star Search, commercials, Weeknight, PM Magazine, Australian Air Force (and had their jet's named after us), Opening of Hotels in Hawaii, performing at the Coca Cola private company shows, corporate shows and golf classics. She now is teaching the majority of our adult and senior classes at Star Dancer Studio.

Star Dancer Studio is more than just a place to learn dance — it is a vibrant, multigenerational legacy built on passion, performance, and family. With roots dating back to 1952, we are proud to be a family-owned and operated studio currently celebrating our 73rd dance recital — a true testament to our unwavering commitment to the art of dance.

Our story began with Mimi, who, at just 18 years old, opened Barbara’s Dance Studio with a dream to build a fulfilling and lifelong career as a dance teacher. Now in her 90s, Mimi’s legacy continues to shine through three generations of dedicated dancers and educators. Her daughter Dianna followed closely in her footsteps, teaching alongside her mother from the age of 12. Dianna went on to perform professionally in the Music Circus and lead the studio, eventually founding Sizzling Hot, a groundbreaking professional dance company in 1980. Sizzling Hot earned national acclaim with performances around the world under a contract with the Department of Defense, entertaining U.S. troops, and appearing on major platforms including Star Search, Weeknight, and several television commercials.

In 2003, after decades of managing large-scale studios like Tinseltown, the family transitioned to the charming town of Sutter Creek, California, where Star Dancer Studio was born. Dianna, Mimi, and Dianna’s daughter, Savannah, carried on the legacy, embracing a community-first approach that values connection just as much as choreography.

Savannah, the third generation, was born into the world of dance. After competing throughout her youth and training rigorously through high school and college, Savannah officially became Co-Owner and Director of Star Dancer Studio in 2017 at just 22 years old. In January 2024, Savannah opened the newest chapter of the family legacy by bringing Star Dancer Studio to Spring Hill, Tennessee, where the studio is quickly becoming known for its warmth, excellence, and inclusive dance family.

At Star Dancer Studio, we believe dance is not only a discipline, but a powerful way to build confidence, creativity, and lifelong friendships. We are known for cultivating a welcoming, encouraging environment that inspires dancers of all ages and levels to grow and shine. Here, we don’t just teach dance — we build a family. And after 73 recitals, we are just getting started.
